IEC motor controls have pushed much of the NEMA controls aside.
Twenty-five years ago NEMA controls were the standard product; now IEC
controls are standard. The IEC controls are less costly, smaller, and
have world-wide acceptance.

Enclosures are generally thought of as simple boxes. Sure, there are a
range of enclosure types as defined by National Electrical Manufacturers
Association (NEMA) guidelines, based on where the enclosure might be
