What’s so special about April? The April birthstone is the diamond. Thomas Tusser in 1557 wrote “Sweet April showers do spring May flowers”. April 1st is known as April Fools Day or All Fools’ Day, or as Mark Twain stated, “The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year”.  In April, 1963, NBC premiered “General Hospital”, which would become their longest running serial program. In April 1976, Apple Computer was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.
