What’s so special about April? The April birthstone is the diamond. Thomas Tusser in 1557 wrote “Sweet April showers do spring May flowers”. April 1st is known as April Fools Day or All Fools’ Day, or as Mark Twain stated, “The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year”. In April, 1963, NBC premiered “General Hospital”, which would become their longest running serial program. In April 1976, Apple Computer was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.
What does this all have in common? Well, my wife continues to tell me that she can never have enough diamonds, even though she was born in December. Spring continues to shine with new life. You can fool me once but it won’t happen a second time.
