Trends in Warehouse Lighting
Warehouse lighting is becoming more energy efficient. Traditionally the HID fixtures have dominated warehouse lighting. Now high bay fluorescent fixtures are commonplace in new installations. The higher potential energy savings is the reason. The potential energy savings is achieved through two methods. Fluorescent lighting has better efficiency using the physics of the lamps and fixtures.

What's New in Compact Fluorescent Lamps?
CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Lamps) have been increasingly popular in the last 20 years. The common version is the lamp and ballast integrated into one unit. The more expensive non-integral CFLs are often used for special applications. These non-integral CFLs can save 50-75% of the power compared with the typical CFLs with the same light output. When they are designed for dimming, they can be dimmed down to 10% or less of their normal brightness.

Energy Efficient, Long Lasting Lighting
Induction lighting is an energy-efficient long-lasting fluorescent lighting source suitable for applications where lamp longevity is a plus and where it is difficult, inconvenient, or hazardous to access fixtures to change lamps, such as factories, warehouses, building exteriors, parking areas, and signage.
