Bridging the Gap in Plant-Wide Communications
While today’s manufacturing facilities still feature conveyor lines and
pick-and-place equipment, the controls that make all that machinery
operate as required have changed drastically in the last decade or so.
Hardwired control systems are giving way to wireless connectivity, which
can provide more data on how machines are operating (and where problems
might be occurring) and ease both installation and maintenance when
space might be lacking to access hardwired connection points.
