ElectricSmarts joins the JDM family
Almost 20 years ago, ElectricSmarts began on my kitchen counter. Wow! It's incredible how we've grown and adapted from the confusion and disruption of the internet back in 1999 to the confusion and disruption of the internet now. In some ways I guess the more that things change, the more the they remain the same. Constant disruption has indeed become the norm and adapting to new breakthroughs is a must. With that said, I'm pleased that the ElectricSmarts of today has continued to evolve and is a much different company than we launched almost two decades ago. As part of this evolution we are proud to have newly joined the JDM Technology Group.
JDM is not a venture capital company but a world-wide family owned technology company that has specialized in the construction space. Take a look at the JDM website. They're impressive. An important part of our mission is to electronically intervene on behalf of our Distributor and Manufacturer partners to get their products positioned into the contractor bids via their estimating software. Because we now belong to the same family as major software providers such as Conest, and Vision InfoSoft, that mission should become much easier. In short, becoming part of the JDM platform is the right move at the right time for our Manufacturer, Distributor, Contractor and other partners. And, we anticipate the opportunities will grow for our employees. Wow!
We can't thank the folks in all of the above mentioned groups enough. You are the folks who helped get us here. Your trust and belief in what we are doing, and in the case of our associates, your hard work and dedication will always be appreciated. But now it's time to stop reminiscing and work together to grow your business.
Personally, I'll be reaching out to many of you over the next few weeks to say thank you. I may or may not be a small part of the ESmarts effort going forward, but after almost 50 years in the industry it's time for my next chapter and I have many projects ahead.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'll be following ElectricSmarts' progress and fully expect that their best days are ahead and that they are good hands to help their partners succeed in the e world.
Final piece of advice - Live your dreams. Life is about having experiences. You'll only regret what you haven't attempted not what you did.
