Vote! - AND Be the Grown Up in the Room

After what seems like forever, we will finally get to vote for president. Do it. It is extremely important to determine the DIRECTION of this country. Once you sidestep the mudslinging and character body shots between the candidates, all of this is really about US not THEM.
Being the grownup in the room acknowledges that fact and recognizes that this is all about OUR future. It is the future of our children and grandchildren and the kind of country we want to live in and to leave behind. The media on both sides continues to focus on the salacious tidbits that sell papers and get eyeballs and ratings at the expense of the semi-unbiased analysis we used to expect. This election cycle they, the media, may be more disappointing than the candidates themselves.
Nevertheless, once you strip away the obvious flaws of both candidates there are real differences in their positions on the economy (jobs), healthcare, border security, the Supreme Court, the deficit, foreign policy and other issues that will make a real difference in your life. Resist the temptation to vote based on the emotional shiny-object distractions that will barrage you over the next few days. Know the REAL issues and vote for YOU not for THEM. In any case, either of the current candidates will be gone within the next 4-8 years but you will still be here living under their policies. Remember that when you pull the lever.
