In 2000, when ESmarts launched, few understood the potential of the internet. Frankly, with all we know now, we're still only scraping the surface.

Too many sellers still are only dipping their toes in the vibrant current of online commerce. They are still only dabbling rather than committing. They are partnering with companies that appear to have general internet expertise but that expertise is either inches deep or little or none of that experience is in the industry they serve. Other companies choose to go it alone. But that is the costliest route of all. And, by doing so they deprive themselves of the best practice experience of others. The old saying is, "You don't know what you don't know".

This is year #16 for ElectricSmarts. We started simply, as an individual Industry Portal. That evolved into a Network of hundreds of buying, selling and specifying partner sites. Along the way we created an eNewsletter Tool and Mobile Apps to push Manufacturer Content downstream to our partner's Customers, Widgets to disperse that Content into multiple Web Page locations and more. Plus, because Esmarts understands the industry and the importance of "connectivity", it created the industry's very first "Contractor Connection". It provides Distributor-to-Contractor Pricing, Manufacturer Catalogs, IDW Data, Spec Sheets and more.

In 16 years things have changed immensely and continue to do so. ElectricSmarts has been at the forefront of that change because this industry's technology is our only focus. Our goal is to inexpensively use the latest tools to get maximum exposure for our partners, which helps them sell more.

Happy 2016! If you are not doing so already, make it your New Year's resolution to maximize your customer's internet experience with you by taking advantage of our offering. We've learned a lot in 16 years and there is no end in sight to the additional innovation we're prepared to employ. So, tap into that knowledge and expertise. Don't go it alone. Being effective on the internet is a TEAM SPORT.
