Lutron Maestro Dual Controls Now Feature Advanced LED+ Technology for Optimized Dimming Performance

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc.
Popular for their space-saving, stacked design, dual controls now offer expanded LED compatibility with the same intuitive installation.

Coopersburg, PA, January 17, 2024
- Today, Lutron Electronics, the global leader in lighting control and automated shading solutions, announces the launch of new Maestro dual controls with built-in LED+ advanced dimming technology. Available in dimmer/switch and dimmer/timer models, the 2-in-1 devices provide professional installers with superior dimming performance for a wide range of LED, incandescent, and halogen bulbs in a space-saving, stacked design.

The Maestro dual control models have long provided a reliable solution for controlling multiple lights or fans from a single location, especially in kitchens, closets, and bathrooms. A space-saving favorite of professional installers and their customers, the new versions now incorporate patented, Lutron LED+ advanced technology to ensure beautiful LED dimming without interaction, flicker, or shimmer.

“Lutron remains committed to providing the best LED dimming experience to our customers,” said Zachary Schroeck, Director of Product Management, Wallbox Business at Lutron. “Building LED+ technology into our popular Maestro dual controls means installers can be confident their clients will enjoy effortless and versatile control of LED, incandescent, or halogen bulbs on projects that require space-saving, multi-control dimming solutions.”

Maestro Dual Control Advantages

Maestro dual models control 2 loads independently from a single location. The dimmer/switch features a dimmer on top to dim and turn one load on/off, and a switch on the bottom for on/off switching of a second light or fan. The dimmer/timer features a dimmer on top to dim or turn one load on/off, while the bottom button allows the user to select a preset time limit for a separate light or fan to turn off automatically.

LED+ Technology: Expanded Compatibility, Fewer Callbacks

Products with Lutron’s LED+ technology deliver a high-quality dimming experience. LED+ dimmers have been tested and ensure compatibility with thousands of bulbs and dozens of brands to ensure superior dimming performance. The advanced microprocessor technology means compatibility with the broadest range of bulbs, superior light stability, easy low-end adjustment, and long-life performance. Lutron LED+ products are simple to install in about 15 minutes, with no neutral required.

Customize settings, styles, and colors
Both models offer MyLevel Personalization, allowing users to customize control settings to their own preference. Customization options include establishing a preset light level for desired brightness each time the light is turned on, gradual fade on/off, and the ability to disable the indicator lights – avoiding unwanted glow from the switch when it’s not in use. In addition, the new Maestro dual controls come in a variety of colors with either a Satin or Gloss finish, enabling installers to match controls with existing décor or add a pop of color to a space.

The Maestro dual dimmer/switch and dimmer/timer with built-in LED+ technology are available now at electrical distributors and A/V and security channels, and at select home improvement retailers starting in February.
