Most of the time, hanging an electrical enclosure is pretty straightforward. Goodness knows I've hung my fair share of them over the past 30 years … plus!

Call me old school, but I'm kind of picky about how the install looks. It's got to be level in my books, for example. It looks better and can make a difference in your penetrations for conduit hubs, drains, and more.

If you've done any electrical work at all, you're familiar with transformers. Coils of wire, wrapped around an iron-rich coil, with both 'innies' and 'outies' for connection. An exception to this would be air core transformers, used in high frequency applications. But let's stick with our iron core buddies for now.
