Retrofit Options Make Panelboard Upgrades Easier

Chuck Ross

Everything is easier in electrical installation with new construction or major renovation projects – open walls allow efficient access to all wiring and connections, and spaces can be easily configured to meet equipment needs. Upgrading equipment in an already-built environment, though, can be a much more complicated undertaking. In addition to dealing with existing electrical conduit and other connections, contractors also have to worry if there’s enough room available to do any necessary demolition work.
