In June 2019, Mersen Electrical Power announced the launch of a new on-line E-Learning portal, “Mersen Knowledge Center-Electrical Power.”

Mersen Knowledge Center is the new official Global Mersen Electrical Power self-registering E-learning portal for electrical reps, distributors, engineers, and end users. Visitors to the portal will find a broad library of over 32 different training modules in an interactive video presentation format. The ever-growing inventory of modules introduces users to basics of electricity, fuse construction and performance, and surge protection products and provides an overview of how these products are applied in various applications.

“From its debut in 2019 we have had 7,558 e-learner enrollments with an 85% completion rate and over 1,257 hours completed by visitors to the Mersen Knowledge Center.” says Kian Sanjari, Training and Marketing Manager at Mersen.

The training modules are typically ten minute or less video presentations, and contain a short quiz at the end of each module. Upon the successful completion of each quiz, students have the option to print their Certificate of Completion as a record of their accomplishment.

Mersen Knowledge Center training modules are also shared globally among many well-known electrical distributor groups such as Affiliated Distributors (AD), IMARK, Rexel, Sonepar, Turtle & Hughes, WESCO and NAED. Mr. Sanjari adds: “We have received a great amount of support from our sales channel and distribution organizations who have in turn, promoted the initiative within their respective organizations to have internal staff participate in completing the Mersen E-Learning training modules. In the last few months we began adding courses in French language for our French speaking users in Canada and Europe…the model is easy: the more we train our channels, the better they can serve our valued customers.”

Mersen Knowledge Center content will continue to grow as new products and courses are added to the library.
