SCADA Networks Meeting New Needs

Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems used to be
reserved for large-scale industrial operations, including mines,
refineries and electricity generating stations. These networks of
sensors, control devices, monitoring systems and interfaces enable
centralized oversight of a facility’s-worth of equipment – down to
individual programmable logic controllers on a production line.
