There's
nothing wrong with our policy that faith, hope and
clarity couldn't cure. - Henny Youngman
When I was a kid, I used to pray every night for a new
bicycle. Then I realized that the Lord, in his wisdom,
didn't work that way. So I stole one, and asked him to
forgive me. - Emo Philips

Selling
at YOUR PRICE
By Bill Floyd
"Did you ever go to
Disney World and pay $20,000 for a hamburger, $42
million per ticket to get in and another $242,000 for
mouse ears and go home and tell everybody you had a
great time? Those folks know how to sell."
--Anonymous

I got it", said John. "Calm down",
said Mike. "I don't know what you got. Is it
contagious?" "You better hope so", said
John. "You know the big contract I've been working
on for Major Electrical Contracting Corp.? Well its
mine. I got it." "That's great", said
Mike. "How'd you do it?" ...more

What You Need to Know About Sports
Lighting
By Doug Walo
You look in the distance and see a significant glow in
the sky. There are no major cities or commercial space
in the area, so what could it be? Then it hits you -
that must be the ball field. Through recreation-level
illumination requirements are significantly lower than
professional grade; older fixture designs and
installations still create an unsightly glow in the sky.

foot-candle (fc) requirements for most sporting events
at all levels; from recreation to high-school, and
college or professional levels. ...more

Lighting is More Than Just Lumens
By Doug Walo
You approach a building, retail facility, or parking
area at night which is dimly lit. Immediately, your
heart starts racing and you are concerned about the
things you can't see. If there was only more light!!
Unfortunately, more light is not the only answer. Too
much light can cause a disabling glare and make it
equally hard to see objects. ...more
