Cost-Effective eMarketing
By Paul Werthman

Everything I have read regarding the 2019 economic outlook points to slightly lower year-over-year growth of approximately 2.6% versus 2.9%. Apparently, the tax cuts and spending will have a diminishing positive economic impact on 2019. The continued uncertainty of the trade war and tariffs with China also pose continued questions.

This Issues's Smart eCat Features: Intermatic Product Catalog

Each issue we will feature a new manufacturer’s electronic SMART eCAT that will show how looking up products and using manufacturer’s catalogs have never been easier. This “eCatalog Collection” now also appears on our distributor partner and manufacturer rep’s websites as well.

Smart Office Lighting Begins with Switches and Sensors
Steve Maurer, IME

As my brother and I grew up in rural Indiana, our mom was very concerned about us leaving piles clothes, toys, and other sundries around our room and strewn about the house. She was constantly after us to pick up after ourselves.

Dad was different.

How Today’s Smarter Motor Controls Are Becoming Safer, Too
Chuck Ross

Today’s manufacturing floors are more automated – and more connected – than ever, and that efficiency-boosting trend is only accelerating. With greater connectivity, however, comes greater risk, as industrial operations can become cyber targets. A new approach to improving security of such operations aims to boost the safety of the entire network by protecting individual pieces of control equipment.

Smart Office Lighting – It's in their DNA
Steve Maurer, IME

No, we're not talking about  deoxyribonucleic acid. That's complex in its understanding, has nothing to do with smart office lighting, and besides...

I can't even spell it.

What I can spell (and even understand) is Distributed Network Architecture. That's DNA for smart lighting and it has some significant advantages over and differences from its biological counterpart.
