Hubbell developed a patented cam-action mechanism as part of its new Tamper-Resistant Receptacle. The Hubbell TR shutter uses hinged trapdoors attached to interlocked cams. When two plug blades swing both doors open simultaneously, the interlocked cams slide an insulating barrier out of the way eliminating frustrations associated with conventional tamper-resistant technology.
