Heat and smoke detectors are obviously necessary components for any
fire-protection system, but installing these devices can pose problems
in many retrofit applications. Traditional detectors are wired products,
and adding new wiring to existing buildings can be a difficult and
expensive process. It is in settings like these where wireless products
are beginning to make inroads.
