New Cutting Tools Promote Safety, Ergonomics
I've cut a lot of wire and cable over the past 30 years. I've often
headed for home with cut and bruised fingers. Not to mention the sore
hands and shoulders from working with heavy cables.
The old scissor-type cutters were all I had for a long time. The long handles needed for leverage weren't the easiest to maneuver. Of course, many times, working in cramped quarters made it a real juggling act. Stripping cable insulation with a knife often resulted in nicks and cuts.
