Specifying Hardware for Hazardous Locations

The risk of ignition is always present where electrical equipment is in
place, primarily through the possibility of arcs and sparks, high
temperatures and equipment failure. However, the potential danger of
ignition rises significantly in hazardous locations.
As a result, specifying hardware - including cabinets, connectors and
other equipment - for hazardous locations requires special knowledge of
the location, itself, and the specific hazards it may present.
