Lutron Electronics Announces New Integral Fixture Control; Joins Philips Lighting SR Certified Program

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc.

Coopersburg, PA (May 9th, 2017)Lutron Electronics, the leader in energy-saving wireless lighting and shade control, today announced that its new Integral Fixture Control will be compatible with Philips Xitanium SR drivers and will be included in the Philips Lighting SR Certified Program. The Program consists of companies, components, sensors and control systems that work with Philips Xitanium SR drivers. These innovative LED drivers for connected lighting applications have additional integrated functions that eliminate the need for auxiliary components. This makes designing and installing wireless-controlled light fixtures less complex and therefore more cost-efficient.

Lutron’s control compatibility with the SR driver will enable simpler installation and ensure compatibility with a wide range of commercial design applications. Through this alliance, both companies aim to bring smarter, more intuitive fixtures with minimal configuration requirements to the lighting and design market.

The Philips SR LED Drivers have created an open platform to make networked lighting more useful and practical while further accelerating the integration of lighting into building networks. Lutron’s fixture control solution combined with an SR Driver enables a sleek, code compliant, smart fixture solution. This offering will enable simpler installation and ensure connectivity with a wide range of commercial design applications with minimal configuration requirements. This compatibility brings a simple solution to market and supports the growing demand for connected devices.

“Lutron is pleased to join the Philips Lighting SR Certified Program. This emphasizes our commitment to making the new fixture control simple and intuitive for fixture OEMs to adopt. We believe that digital control is the future of wireless fixtures, so the SR Program is a natural fit for our development. Lutron started providing digital fixtures with our wired EcoSystem protocol and have extended many of those same design philosophies to the wireless world,” said Scott Hanna, Vice-President, Commercial Systems and Communications, at Lutron Electronics. “With decades of experience in the lighting industry, Philips Lighting has a long-standing reputation for innovation, and we share their dedication to moving the industry forward. This collaboration answers specifier demand for greater design flexibility and helps set an industry standard for future wireless fixture solutions.”
