Update on LED Parking Lot Lighting

Recently new parking lot lighting has changed from HID to LED fixtures.
The new lighting saves power and maintenance costs with a higher first
cost. There are additional customer benefits in choosing LED versus the
traditional HID lighting.
The energy savings are substantial. For instance, a parking lot lit with
54 HID fixtures would use 450 watts of power. LED fixtures could light
the parking lot better using only 172 watts. These savings are in
addition to maintenance cost savings.
