Having the right fitting can save significant labor costs. Sure, in a
pinch you can assemble multiple fittings to achieve the desired input
and output terminations, but it requires the additional cost of more
fittings and labor. There is even a chance that an electrical inspector
could reject your fitting assembly as not listed for the purpose.
There are a wide variety of transition fittings for most projects. They
couple two different types of raceway together while maintaining
physical and electrical continuity as required by the National
Electrical Code.
