Manufacturers Reformulate Heavy Duty Degreasers to Meet Greener Expectations

Some manufacturers of heavy duty degreasers are reformulating some of their products to enable safer use, reduce adverse health effects on the worker, and lessen their impact on the environment. While there are no standards for heavy duty degreasers, there are differences among choices.

In general, solvent-based degreasers pose more potential issues for the environment and the worker using them than water-based degreasers.
