The Often Overlooked Dimmer Adjustment

Many electricians install residential dimmers without any adjustments. Taking a couple of minutes to set the proper low light setting can make customers appreciative of your expertise and generate some additional work.

Originally dimmers were only designed for incandescent lamps. They didn't have to be compatible with halogen inrush, CFL flickering or LED voltage stability. When the older style of dimmer is applied to other than incandescent lamps, problems begin.
