ionization versus photoelectric technology. The answer really comes down
to the situation or combination of circumstances.
Ionization
technology has been found to be most effective at detecting low-smoke
flare-up fires that have already been established. Conversely,
photoelectric technology uses works best at detecting smoky, smoldering
fires.
